Round-trip estimates for the recommended category with the aircraft waiting, before taxes, catering and event-week surcharges. Big-event weekends can run 15–30% above these numbers because every aircraft is spoken for; booking early is the whole game.

Getting in and out

Austin Executive (EDC) is on the north-east side with good ramp capacity and a short drive down to COTA on race morning. Austin-Bergstrom (AUS) is closer but runs slot reservations and heavy airline traffic on the weekend; we use it when the aircraft needs its runway. Day trips from Houston and Dallas work beautifully for race day: out at 8, back after the podium, no hotel at Grand Prix prices.

  • Austin Bergstrom International Airport (KAUS) — Austin-Bergstrom, next to the circuit but shared with the airlines and slot-controlled on race weekend; the FBOs run out of ramp first.
  • Georgetown Executive Airport at Johnny Gantt Field (KGTU) — Georgetown, 35 minutes north, the relief valve when both Austin fields are full.
  • San Antonio International Airport (KSAT) — San Antonio, 80 minutes by car, for the largest groups on airliners.

Questions

Can I fly in and out of Austin the same day for the Grand Prix?

Yes, and from Houston or Dallas it is the smart move: 40–55 minutes each way on a light or midsize jet, with the aircraft waiting at Austin Executive. Our own Citation Excels fly this run every October.

How far in advance should I book a private jet for F1 United States Grand Prix, Austin?

For marquee events, four to eight weeks ahead gives you aircraft choice and sane positioning costs; inside two weeks we can still fly you, but slots, parking and crew duty limits start deciding for you.

Who operates the flight?

An FAA Part 135 certificated carrier we have vetted, named to you before you accept the quote. ENG Aviation Group holds the same certificate for its own fleet, so the vetting is done by operators, not resellers.
