FAQ
Every question we get asked
How much does a private jet cost for a weekend?
Eight friends Houston to Cabo on a super-midsize with the aircraft waiting: roughly $45,000–$60,000 round trip. A corporate group of twelve to the Super Bowl on a heavy from Texas: $110,000–$160,000. Every event and route page shows a live estimate from the market rates our brokerage desk uses.
How far ahead should I book for a big event?
Four to eight weeks gives you aircraft choice, the airport you want and sane positioning costs. Inside two weeks we can still fly you, but slots, parking and crew duty start making the decisions.
Who actually operates the flight?
An FAA Part 135 (or Part 121) certificated carrier we have vetted, named to you before you accept. ENG Aviation Group arranges the flight as an air charter broker and is itself a Part 135 operator with its own Citation Excel fleet. See our broker disclosure.
Can you fly a group of forty?
Yes. From about twenty passengers an airliner charter (regional jet, 737 or A320) from a Part 121 or 135 carrier is the better value, with a private departure lounge at most airports. We broker those with the same vetting.
Is the instant estimate the price I will pay?
It is a market range from distance, headcount and live wholesale rates. The firm quote replaces it within the hour and usually lands inside the range; marquee weekends can run higher because every aircraft in the region is spoken for.
What is included?
Aircraft, crew, fuel, standard positioning, landing and handling. Passed through at cost and shown separately: catering, cars, de-icing and international handling. Taxes are itemised where they apply to you.
Do I pay federal excise tax?
Retail clients flying within the United States pay 7.5% FET plus a per-passenger segment fee on the air transportation price. Mexico and other international trips pay a per-passenger head tax and US customs, immigration and APHIS fees instead.
Can we bring skis, golf clubs, the dog?
Yes, yes and usually yes. Tell us what is coming so we size the baggage hold for the return. Pets ride in the cabin on most aircraft; Mexico and other countries have import rules we check for you.
What if the game or the race gets moved?
Date changes before the cancellation window are normally free if the aircraft is available, and on event weekends operators are used to it. Cancellation terms follow the carrier's policy, typically 50% inside 72 hours and 100% inside 48 hours, stated on every quote.
How do I pay?
A credit card hold secures the aircraft; before departure we need card authorisation or a wire. Check, wire or ACH payments carry a 5% discount on our own quotes.
Can you fly us on your own aircraft?
If the trip fits a midsize jet, often yes, and we will say so because it is usually the sharpest price. ENG operates three Citation Excels based in Texas; they fly Aspen, Cabo, Austin and Nashville every season.
